Nottingham based, Rocket Scenery is one of the country’s leading builders of theatrical scenery in the UK, having worked on shows such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, King and I, Warhorse and Motown, working extensively in the West End and on touring large scale shows.
We are looking for a Junior CAD Draughtsperson for our design and drafting facility. You will work alongside senior colleagues to help solve sometimes complex three dimensional problems to produce clear and concise bench drawings from designer’s models and drawings, under the supervision of the Head Draughtsperson, for presentation to our talented making and painting staff.

Trainee CNC Operator.
As one of the UK’s leading scenery manufacturers, Rocket Scenery is looking to expand its CNC woodworking machining capacity by recruiting a Trainee CNC Operator to work with the existing wood shop team to produce accurate, high-quality sheet material components for scenery manufacture.
The successful applicant will be trained in the day-to-day running of our Vantage nesting machine and the maintenance procedures involved with keeping the machine running smoothly and accurately. The role will involve general housekeeping, as well as maintaining stock levels with regards to tooling and CNC manufacturing components. Fork-lift training may also be given.
Reporting to the CNC team leader and programmer and the CNC Operator, the right candidate should have a good level of physical fitness, be computer literate and technically minded, and have a good eye for woodwork finishing detail.
