Current Job Opportunities @ Rocket Scenery

Since 2000, Rocket Scenery has gained a reputation for high quality and reliable scenery. Despite the current pandemic, Rocket is looking at full order books with enquiries as far as 2022. Recent shows for the West End, National and International Tours have included Dear Evan Hansen, 42nd Street, Everybody is talking about Jamie and The King & I.

 

Currently employing people over all the disciplines of drafting, metal fabrication, carpentry, scenic art and electrics, we are also looking for skilled and enthusiastic people to fill the following posts:

HEAD OF WOOD SHOP (maternity cover)

Based in Nottingham, Salary £26 – £30k depending on experience.    

 

Rocket Scenery is looking for an Experienced Carpenter with management experience to provide maternity cover from February 2021 for a minimum of 9 months with the potential for further opportunities as the department expands.  

 

The Head of Wood Shop is required to manage a team of 7 carpenters and additional freelancers. The successful candidate will work closely with the other scenic departments to smoothly and efficiently construct scenery of the highest standard.

SCENIC CARPENTER

Based in Nottingham, Salary £22 – £26k depending on experience.  

 

Rocket Scenery is looking for an experienced Scenic Carpenter to join our team of 7 carpenters and additional freelancers.

 

The successful candidate must be proficient in working with timber, scenic fabrics and other materials. Experience of fit-ups and an understanding of the demands of the industry would be of benefit too.
